Effective Reproduction Rate (Rt):  0.79 Arizona, as of 8/16 - previous rate was 0.80

Note: Rt is the average number of people who become infected by an infectious person.  If it is above 1.0, COVID-19 will spread quickly. If it is below 1.0, infections will slow. 

 

Test Positivity Ratios: 

Cases to PCR Tests | 7.3%, previous day 6.0%

Cases to All Tests | 6.3%, previous day 5.4%

ELR PCR Cases to ELR PCR Tests | 5.5% previous day 5.9%

 

Hospital Assets In-Use:  

Acute Care Beds:  82%, up from yesterday’s 81%

ICU Beds:  80%, unchanged from yesterday

Ventilators:  32%, down from yesterday’s 33%
