Effective Reproduction Rate (Rt):  0.77 Arizona, as of 8/17 - previous rate was 0.79

Note: Rt is the average number of people who become infected by an infectious person.  If it is above 1.0, COVID-19 will spread quickly. If it is below 1.0, infections will slow. 

 

Test Positivity Ratios: 

Cases to PCR Tests | 16.4%, previous day 7.3%%

Cases to All Tests | 15.3%, previous day 6.3%

7 Day ELR PCR Cases to ELR PCR Tests | 6.7% previous day 5.5%

 

Hospital Assets In-Use:  

Acute Care Beds:  81%, down from yesterday’s 82%

ICU Beds:  80%, unchanged from yesterday

Ventilators:  33%, up from yesterday’s 32%
