Effective Reproduction Rate (Rt):  0.84 Arizona, as of 8/18 - previous rate was 0.77

Note: Rt is the average number of people who become infected by an infectious person.  If it is above 1.0, COVID-19 will spread quickly. If it is below 1.0, infections will slow. 

 

Test Positivity Ratios: 

Cases to PCR Tests | 8.8%, previous day 16.4%

Cases to All Tests | 7.9%, previous day 15.3%

7 Day ELR PCR Cases to ELR PCR Tests | 4.7% previous day 6.7%

 

Hospital Assets In-Use:  

Acute Care Beds:  81%, unchanged from yesterday

ICU Beds:  80%, unchanged from yesterday

Ventilators:  32%, down from yesterday’s 33%
