Effective Reproduction Rate (Rt):  0.83 Arizona, as of 8/21 - previous rate was 0.84

Note: Rt is the average number of people who become infected by an infectious person.  If it is above 1.0, COVID-19 will spread quickly. If it is below 1.0, infections will slow. 

 

Test Positivity Ratios: 

Cases to PCR Tests | 6.2%, previous day 6.5%

Cases to All Tests | 5.8%, previous day 5.5%

7 Day ELR PCR Cases to ELR PCR Tests | 3.9% previous day 4.1%

 

Hospital Assets In-Use:  

Acute Care Beds:  83%, unchanged from yesterday

ICU Beds:  79%, up from yesterday’s 78%

Ventilators:  30%, unchanged from yesterday
