Effective Reproduction Rate (Rt):  0.76 Arizona, as of 8/23 - previous rate was 0.82

Note: Rt is the average number of people who become infected by an infectious person.  If it is above 1.0, COVID-19 will spread quickly. If it is below 1.0, infections will slow. 

 

Test Positivity Ratios: 

Cases to PCR Tests | 4.9%, previous day 3.1%

Cases to All Tests | 4.1%, previous day 2.6%

7 Day ELR PCR Cases to ELR PCR Tests | 4.7% previous day 4.4%

 

Hospital Assets In-Use:  

Acute Care Beds:  81%, down from yesterday’s 83%

ICU Beds:  79%, unchanged from yesterday

Ventilators:  28%, down from yesterday’s 29%
